WELCOME TO BASED ON BEIGE
Valentine’s Day is a very different story than we were told growing up. As kids, we looked forward to our class parties, eating sugary treats and passing out handmade valentine’s in elementary school. Now that we’re adults, Valentine’s Day usually comes with a lot of pressure. There’s flowers, candy, gifts, dinner reservations and pricey fixed menus. Sometimes all we really need to make this holiday feel joyful is just a cozy night at home. Whether you’re having a girl’s night or spending it with someone special, here is everything you’ll need to create a festive Valentine’s Day cheeseboard.
I started my blog shortly after moving into my studio apartment in June 2018. My best friend came over after I moved in, and of course, we ate pizza on my bed, listening to music and flipping through coffee table books (because that’s what you do). But while I was telling her all of my ideas for articles, she said, “Well, why don’t you just show people where you got all your cute stuff for your apartment?” So 6 months later… here are my long overdue favorite home decor pieces for a simple living kitchen.
The one thing that you won’t find in a minimalist kitchen is excess. That’s because in a minimalist’s dream world, everything has purpose, a proper place, and there is perfect balance in every corner. Well, that’s not always the case (even in my 350 sq. ft. studio apartment). But with tiny living, there is a minimalist method that will help you simplify your kitchen.
